“I Hope When I Fight Marvin Vettori, My Hair Will Be Better” – Paulo Costa on His Recent Hair Transplant
Even though Paulo Costa was out of action from the octagon, he kept himself busy doing other things. The former UFC middleweight title challenger underwent a hair transplant procedure back in June 2021. Ever since then, fans have wanted to know the entire story of ‘Borrachinha’s’ hair transplant.
A series of Instagram posts by skin and hair healthcare physician Dr. Pablo Matos Milhomem confirmed that Costa had undergone a hair transplant procedure.
There are videos where Dr. Milhomem explains the procedure of the transplant done to reverse Costa’s receding hairline.
In a recent interview on ESPN MMA with Brett Okamoto, Costa, who had largely disappeared after his UFC 253 defeat to Adesanya, finally shared all the details regarding his hair transplant.
Costa said – “I made a transplant hair, you know. We removed some part of new hair, here, back. And put some hair where you need to grow. Three days and I was back on the walk. But I hope when I fight Marvin Vettori, my hair will be better, you know, beautiful, you know.”
What’s next for Paulo Costa?
After a year-long layoff, Costa will come back inside the octagon against Marvin Vettori at a UFC Fight Night on October 23, 2021. Costa vs. Vettori will be the event headliner.

‘Borrachinha’ Costa will step inside the octagon for the first time since losing his perfect MMA record.

Meanwhile, Vettori will also step inside the octagon after suffering a loss to ‘The Last Stylebender’. Adesanya vs. Vettori took place at UFC 263 on June 12, 2021. In the main event at the Gila River Arena, ‘The Italian Dream’ lost via a unanimous decision.
Hence, both fighters will aim to turn their last skid and eventually land another fight against Adesanya to avenge their loss.
Will Costa be able to defeat Vettori and land a rematch against the current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya? Or will ‘The Italian Dream’ hand ‘Paulo Costa back-to-back losses?
