‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul seems to have eyed Gervonta Davis as one of his potential opponents for the future. Despite the sheer mismatch in their height and weight, Paul didn’t just bring up ‘Tank’ in his hit-list for show. Instead, he has begun a feud with the three-division champion. Although Davis seems uninterested in the clash, Paul’s loud mouth is sparking heat on the Baltimore native.

That said, the bizarre matchup may never meet official fruition as both men hail from different weight classes. Furthermore, they have had contrasting boxing careers so far. Although they are yet to taste defeat, Davis is way ahead of Paul in the current scenario. With an experience of over eight years, Davis, who is a world champion, dwarfs Paul’s 3-0 resume.

However, several more factors can hamper the matchup from happening. Considering the same, a professional boxing clash between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis may never happen unless they agree to battle in an exhibition.

Paul stands at 6’1” with a 76” reach and Box Rec claims that he is a cruiserweight boxer. Meanwhile, Davis, a lightweight, stands at 5’ 5 ½” with a 67 ½” reach. Given these numbers, ‘The Problem Child’ will have an insane advantage over ‘Tank’. The massive reach and height advantage, however, may not trouble Davis.

As the American champion has beaten bigger opponents several times in his career, Paul may not be too problematic for him. Nevertheless, as sanctioning bodies may balk at the weight disparity, it’s tough to see them collide, unless it’s in an exhibition. However, Paul isn’t looking for exhibition matchups and wants to continue fighting in the pro ride.

Meanwhile, as Davis has several potential fights on his radar, a boxing clash with Paul wouldn’t allure him. Furthermore, it may require Davis to surrender a few of his belts, as fighting ‘The Problem Child’ may not leave him time to make certain mandatory defenses.
