Rylan Clark-Neal is set to return to Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two later this year following his split from his husband Dan.

The beloved television presenter took time out to focus on his mental health after it was revealed in June that had parted ways with his other half following six years of marriage.

However, fans should expect to see Rylan back on It Takes Two with all the latest Strictly gossip from this year’s celebrity line-up and their dance partners – and we honestly cannot wait!

‘Rylan’s spent time away from the spotlight focusing on his wellbeing surrounded by friends and family,’ an insider said.

‘He’s now hopefully to make his return to telly as he’s missed working.

‘It’s all looking positive and the team at It Takes Two always have a lot of fun filming. It’s a joyful show to work on.’

The source added to The Sun: ’Of course, everyone backstage wants what’s best for Rylan and aren’t putting pressure on him.’

Rylan and Dan met after Dan’s time as a housemate on season 14 of Big Brother – with the former X factor legend serving as host on spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

They were engaged in 2014 and tied the following year in a star-studded celebration.

News of their split emerged last week, with fans concerned over Rylan’s absence from social media, as well as his BBC Radio 2 show.

He later addressed the reasons for their romance ending in a statement shared with the Sun, insisting that his own mistakes were to blame.

Rylan won’t be presenting It Takes Two with Zoe Ball when he returns though, as the host quit the series earlier this year after a decade at the helm.

A BBC Spokesperson said at the time: ‘We’d like to thank Zoe for an amazing decade on It Takes Two, and she’ll always be part of the Strictly family. We will miss her sense of fun, passion for all things dance, and those amazing sequinned jumpers.

‘We’ll announce plans for the show in due course.’

Strictly declined to comment.

Strictly Come Dancing is set to return later this year to BBC One.
