‘Completely Fake News’- Ali Abdelaziz Rubbishes Reports of Khabib Nurmagomedov Signing a Professional Football Contract

Khabib Nurmagomedov has been a lifelong football fan. ‘The Eagle’ is a die-hard Real Madrid fan and has often been spotted at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium cheering his team on. ‘The Eagle’ has made it no secret that football is a sport he likes the most and dreamt of becoming a professional soccer player as a child. 

Therefore, earlier this week, it was announced that ‘The Eagle’ signed a professional contract with Legion FC to become a professional footballer. The news spread like wildfire and was picked up by every major news outlet. However, to the dismay of fans, it turns out that the rumors of ‘The Eagle’ making his way into professional football are not true.

Renowned MMA journalist John Morgan put out a tweet in reply to an article that stated Nurmagomedov had signed a contract with Legion FC. He said, “Tried to confirm this report of @TeamKhabib signing for a Russian soccer team with @AliAbdelaziz00. He said there was “absolutely no truth” to the report and labeled it “completely fake news.”

Life after retirement for Khabib Nurmagomedov

He aims to be a feeder league for the UFC and act as a proving ground for talent. 

Nurmagomedov is also the name behind ‘Fitroo’ a company that makes protein bars. ‘The Eagle’ is constantly traveling the world making appearances at different events and growing his ever-expanding line of businesses. Furthermore, Nurmagomedov has also taken on a more hands-on approach to coaching. 

‘The Eagle’ is now the right in command to Javier Mendez as the two mentor a bevy of talent under them. ‘The Eagle’ has a number of his fighters competing both in the UFC and Bellator. He is thus far undefeated as a coach and on the verge of securing a belt with Islam Makhachev.
