A guest on This Morning was rudely interrupted when Eamonn Holmes’ phone started ringing in the middle of the interview.
Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford, who are filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, were chatting to the mother of twins, Alison Hawthorne, who makes jewellery from breast milk sent in by other mums.
Alison was just about to talk the presenters through the individual pieces laid out on the table when a traditional ringtone began booming in the studio.
Ruth attempted to laugh off the situation, joking: ‘Someone’s ringing up for an order. Who wants to order some breast milk jewellery?’
Eamonn revealed himself to be the culprit as he awkwardly fumbled around in his pocket, eventually managing to turn it off. He offered no apology and instead said to Alison: ‘Right, so just talk us through some breast milk jewellery,’ before continuing on with the segment.
It comes after the 61-year-old became embroiled in controversy last week, when he compared This Morning regular Dr Zoe Williams’ natural afro hair to an alpaca.
After Dr Zoe appeared on screen via video chat, saying that she will be talking about ‘how your health can be benefited from gardening and even alpacas’, Eamonn remarked: ‘Your hair reminds me of an alpaca today.’

‘You just want to pet it, don’t you? It’s very alpaca-ish’ he added, gesturing with a petting motion as Dr Zoe laughed.
‘Don’t touch my hair!’ the doctor exclaimed while pointing her pen at the camera.
Viewers were shocked by Eamonn’s remark and he later issued an apology, saying he was ‘mortified’ by the reaction.
‘Hey everyone out there. If my attempt at being humorous with my friend @DrZoeWilliams was misjudged I am mortified and humbly apologise to anyone who was offended,’ he tweeted.
Dr Zoe later addressed the incident herself and wrote in a lengthy Instagram post: ‘He has done the right thing by apologising to me directly; and I have accepted his apology.

‘What I want to say is that I’m aware that his remarks, though meant without malice, have offended people. And if that comment had been made to me by a stranger, then I too would likely be offended.’
She added: ‘It was mis-judged and I think it’s fair to say that both Eamonn and I wish it hadn’t been said.’
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
