Judi Love has revealed how she felt guided by a higher power after her mum died.
The Loose Women star was devastated when she lost her mother to dementia, which causes a deterioration in memory, in 2009 and she has opened up a lot on the past about her experiences caring for her mum before her death.
On Monday’s episode of the ITV daytime show, she said: ‘I definitely, definitely feel that was something that turned me around.
‘I always grew up with religion but I feel like I’m not someone who sticks in a box with religion… I do feel like it brings me some peace, I believe that your spirituality might be something [else].’
While she admitted some people could see certain things as her own effort paying off or simply good luck, she has felt ‘an alignment’ in her life with certain things since her mum passed away.
‘There are certain things where I felt an alignment had happened. I went for two jobs – the one that I wanted, I didn’t get, I got the other job,’ the mum-of-two explained.

‘I was pregnant, it took five months, but when I started these other women had started who knew a comedian, and then I met them.
‘Once I opened to myself to coming back from maternity and my mum dying and seeing that transition, seeing someone I love so much and that transition from physicality and them going… I opened myself up to, what actually makes me feel alive? What’s my purpose?
‘Once I did that, I found that things started to fall into place and I genuinely felt like that was from a higher power… I felt that I connected with someone that guided me a bit more.’
Strictly star Judi explained that she believes ‘everything happens for a reason’, and her belief came from the aftermath of her mum’s death.
‘I do feel like everything happens for a reason, to a certain extent – whether it’s to teach us a lesson for us to not make that mistake again, or to open a new chapter or phase in your life,’ she said.

‘I definitely believe that there’s a higher power that guides you to certain things. I think, for me, what took me that to place was when my mum passed away and seeing the different from that physical being and that spiritual being not being there…
‘Seeing that that energy has gone, it just made me think there must be more to life so I’ve got to live, I’ve got to use that same energy to make others feel great.
‘It made me think about more purpose than necessarily doing a job that’s just surviving and living life the normal routine way. I’ve really tried to connect on a spiritual level.’
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
