Love Island has said goodbye to two more islanders as Priya Gopaldas and Brett Staniland’s brief time in the villa came to an end.

It came after the islanders were asked to vote for the least compatible couple, with Priya and Brett getting the most. Faye and Teddy, Mary and Aaron and Jake and Liberty were also at risk of being dumped.

Following a public vote to save their faves, the two newest bombshells were turfed out in a swift firepit gathering.

Speaking to the girls before packing her bags, Priya said: ‘I feel like it was the right time for us to go absolutely.

‘We are the only ones who aren’t in a couple.’

Brett meanwhile told the boys: ‘I wouldn’t change a day in here, you boys made me feel so welcome.

Priya confessed to the girls that she wasn’t feeling Brett (Picture: ITV)

‘I had an up and down every single day in here, I wouldn’t change it for the world.’

They later shared that they had planned a coffee date outside of the villa and would remain friends.

The fact they were least compatible likely didn’t come as a surprise, as Priya told anyone who would listen that she had the ‘ick’ and found Brett ‘boring’ during their dinner date.

‘My date with Brett didn’t go very well,’ Priya divulged to Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole in scenes that were aired on Aftersun.

‘He’s quite boring,’ she continued. ‘I feel like sometimes when he holds my hand I feel like it’s my dad holding my hand, you know? Or like, my best mate.’

The islander was also left devastated by his pick of brie as his favourite cheese.

Scenes earlier in Monday’s episode saw her officially call things off with him, before coolly asking for a selfie to mark the occasion.

‘That was the easiest friend-zoning I’ve ever done,’ she boasted in the Beach Hut afterwards.

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
