Married At First Sight UK drops explosive first look trailer: ‘I didn’t exactly get what I ordered’

The upcoming new series of Married At First Sight UK looks set to be just as explosive as its Australian counterpart, with tears and heated rows dominating the first look trailer.

The line-up of 16 singletons will be matched up by experts expert Melanie Schilling, Charlene Douglas, and Paul C. Brunson, with the eight couples meeting for the first time at the altar.

They’ll then have their love put to the test, as they embark on a luxurious honeymoon, move in with each other and their fellow couples.

Judging by the 40-second preview, audiences will need to have their popcorn at the ready as the singles appear to endure every emotion known to man.

In one moment, Morag, a 31-year-old vet, is seen panicking as she prepares to walk down the aisle.

‘What if I don’t actually like him?’ she says. Moments later, after setting sights on the man she’s been paired up with, she grimaces: ‘I mean, I didn’t exactly get what I ordered.’

Elsewhere, 28-year-old model Alexis fumes: ‘If this was on the outside world you’d be blocked and deleted.’

Yikes.

Melanie warns the group that the experience will ‘change their lives forever’ and audiences will be following their journeys as relationships are put under the microscope.

Each week, the group will sit down at dinner parties before attending the commitment ceremonies, where they will choose whether they want to stay in or leave the process.

But they won’t be going it alone.

Married at First Sight Australia expert Melanie and sex and relationship therapist, Charlene Douglas will be joining returning star Paul for this brand-new series.

Mel and Paul will be tasked with matching a group of singles hoping to find love when they meet for the first time at the altar, while Charlene works with the couples as they navigate their new relationships and get to know their partners on a more intimate level.
