Tracy Beaker actress Dani Harmer is pregnant with her second child.

The 32-year-old confirmed the happy news on Instagram – making us all feel ancient in the process – as she announced that her five-year-old daughter Avarie-Belle would be getting a younger sibling.

The actress posted a picture of her, her partner Simon Brough and their daughter, with Avarie-Belle beaming and holding up a strip of baby scan pictures.

Dani wrote: ‘Han solo had Chewie. Frodo had Sam. Shrek had Donkey.

‘Now be prepared for the adventures of Avarie-Belle and as of yet unnamed bump, coming February 2022.’

She added both a pink and blue heart to the caption, signalling she did not know the gender of the baby.

Friends and followers congratulated Dani on her news, with Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, Skins actress April Pearson and model Jess Impiazzi among the well wishers.

Simon also shared the post to his Instagram, adding to the caption: ‘Now be prepared for the adventures of Avarie-Belle and as of yet unnamed bump, coming February 2022 (hopefully not to a cinema near you).’

Dani and Simon have been together since 2015, and welcomed their first child together a year later.

Dani shot to fame aged 13 when she was cast as the title character in the CBBC adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s book The Story of Tracy Beaker.

She starred as the character in five series, as well as in the film Tracy Beaker: The Movie of Me and 2010’s Tracy Beaker Returns.
