Jessie J has announced she won’t release her sixth studio album until she has recovered from her mystery illness.
During an Instagram Q&A, Price Tag hitmaker, 33, told fans they will have to wait until she is ‘better’ for new music, after months of being in pain every day.
She said: ‘When can we expect the album? When I’m better, which I don’t know when that’s going to be.
‘My throat is the same. It is so boring, so boring. I don’t even know what to say anymore. It should be my thyroid, I’m having my spine looked at.’
Jessie is set to undergo an MRI scan to determine the cause of the problem.
She’s also having vocal therapy and seeing an allergist and a thyroid specialist, as well as looking into ‘autoimmune things’.

Last week the Domino singer got real about her health struggles, opening up to her followers about the pain she is experiencing.
She wrote: ‘Yesterday I tried to sing a song I can usually sing with ease, and I couldn’t. The issue I’m having isn’t my voice but is effecting my voice. And well…I sobbed. For hours. (sic)
‘6 months in and I still cannot get through a full day without pain in my mid neck / throat. Some days are so much better than others.’
Jessie admitted to feeling frustrated because the pain is impacting on her voice, even though her vocal cords are not the issue.
‘They are healthy. It’s something around them. Spine, thyroid, allergy. Who knows. The tests continue. (sic)’
In December the Flashlight songstress confirmed her diagnosis with Ménière’s disease, a condition that impacts the ear and can cause vertigo, and spent Christmas Eve in hospital.
There’s no cure for the illness, which mostly affects people aged between 20-60.
Symptoms can include nausea, hearing ringing or buzzing inside your ear, dizziness and losing your balance.
These typically happen all at once, and commonly last for hours, with the condition usually starting in one ear but can spread to both over time.
Jessie usually tries to stay positive but confessed there are moments when she can’t help but feel ‘lost and alone,’ and feels it’s important to be honest about what she’s going through.

‘That old line “it’s ok not to be ok,” I wrote it because it’s true and I still believe this platform is to inspire through truth,’ she wrote.
‘To anyone else going through a testing time. I feel you. I see you. We will get through this.’
