Love Island 2021: Faye Winter in tears over incompatible vote as she rows with Jake Cornish

Love Island star Faye Winter was left in tears as she realised exactly who had voted for her and Teddy Soares as the least compatible couple.

The pair were among the four couples who faced the boot from the villa, with Priya Gopaldas and Brett Staniland eventually sent home.

However, the fall-out from the anonymous vote has still rumbled on, with Faye questioning why her co-stars deemed them incompatible.

Sussing out that Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank, and Millie Court and Liam Reardon had put their names into the mix, she set about getting to the bottom of why.

Storming right over to Jake, Liberty, Kaz and Tyler, she fumed: ‘What hurts me is that you guys sat there with me and helped me overcome my insecurities, my self-sabotage and sat there and didn’t say once that you didn’t think we were compatible.

‘I’m actually hurt by you guys because you’ve been in here with me for seven weeks, and not one person has come forward to me and said, “Faye, I really think you should think about this”.

‘I would have hoped that we were on a level that somebody, one person, would come forward out four of us and say that.’

As Jake appeared to laugh at her reaction, Faye hit the roof, and yelled: ‘You can stop smirking because you’re p***ing me off.

‘Stop smirking, Jake, I don’t know who you think you are, because you’ve been talking s**t the whole f**king time.

‘She is the most genuine person I’ve ever come across in here, and you, on the outside or in, are a different person and you’re p***ing me off now.’

After walking away from the conversation, she spoke to Millie and Liam, and became emotional as she attempted to understand their decision.

‘I am hurt because all the people that I’ve gone to here for advice, are the ones that voted for me,’ she said before becoming teary.

‘I understand now that people won’t always tell me, when I need people to tell me s**t that I don’t want to hear.

‘As long as you tell me the f**king truth, I can work with it.’

However, Faye wasn’t the only Islander who was hurt by the vote, as Aaron Simpson and Mary Bedford questioned why Kaz and Tyler had opted to nominate them over Priya and Brett.

Things once again became heated as Kaz shared their reasoning, suggesting that their romance was more one-sided.

Having none of it, he branded her explanation a ‘b******t cop-out’.

Something tells us that this row will keep on rumbling for a while yet…

Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.
