McFly star Harry Judd has triumphed on the first ever series of Cooking With The Stars.

The drummer, with a little help from his professional chef mentor Nisha Katona, lifted the coveted golden frying pan in Tuesday night’s final.

He faced fierce competition from his fellow finalists, entertainer Denise Van Outen and TV presenter AJ Odudu who faced off in three challenges.

A stunned Harry, who had accidentally sliced his finger open with a knife while rushing around, said of his win: ‘I’m in shock, I never imagined what I would have learned here, the people I’ve met and of course Nisha.

‘I’ve had the most incredible time.’

Nisha said the win was ‘such an honour’ before they lifted the trophy together.

Meanwhile Denise, who earlier had been reduced to floods of tears after her cooking was complimented, said she wanted to make her professional partner Francesco Mazzei proud, which she achieved.

AJ, who is soon taking to the floor on Strictly Come Dancing this year, fell at the first hurdle after burning her lamb dish and crashed out with her mentor Jack Stein.

Harry and Denise went head to head with Harry choosing an Indian inspired dish, and the Dancing On Ice star choosing pasta.

The musician literally bled for his final dish, accidentally cutting his finger with a knife halfway through. He had to momentarily pause while he received medical attention.

In the end he came out on top with the most votes from the panel of chefs.

Cooking With The Stars is available to watch on ITV Player.
