Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Peaty is getting well and truly into the spirit of the show by raiding its wardrobe before rehearsals get underway.

The swimmer slipped into a sequinned dress in a behind-the-scenes snap from Strictly, sharing the stunning garment on Twitter.

Wearing a black face mask, he proudly sported the glittery, thigh-skimming gown, made up of shimmering pink and gold tassels with gold straps which strained over his shoulders.

Adam joked in his tweet: ‘Think I got the wrong outfit’ and tagged Strictly.

It certainly doesn’t look wrong Adam. In fact we think it’s rather fetching.

His Twitter followers seemed to agree as they complimented him on his ballroom look.

Strictly host Claudia Winkleman replied: ‘Bring on the cha cha’.

TV presenter Gabby Logan tweeted ‘If the cap fits’ as the official RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Twitter shared: ‘Nope, that’s the right outfit.’

Completely agree – but maybe he could lose the socks?

The Strictly 2021 line up is now complete with rugby star Ugo Monye the last celebrity contestant to be revealed.

Adam and Ugo join TV presenter AJ Odudu, McFly star Tom Fletcher, actor Greg Wise, Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies, actress Nina Wadia and BBC Breakfast newsreader Dan Walker.

Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn, EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, CBBC presenter Rhys Stevenson, comedian Robert Webb, Loose Women panelist Judi Love, cook Tilly Ramsay, and Great British Bake Off champion John Whaite are all in the line up too.

John will be making history as the first ever male celeb to dance with a male professional partner.

The judging panel will look a bit different this year as pro dancer Anton Du Beke is replacing Bruno Tonioli. He joins Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
