‘Any Person With A Brain Would Do That’- Daniel Cormier Believes Kamaru Usman Should Aim for a Super Fight With Conor Mcgregor

Conor McGregor might be out of action for till 2022. However, ‘The Notorious’ is not far from the fight game. The former double champ does not shy away from sharing his thoughts on social media. Recently, ‘The Notorious’ has lambasted the likes of Michael Bisping, Daniel Cormier, and Kamaru Usman among others. 

In the most recent installment of ‘DC’ and ‘RC’, Daniel Cormier shared his thoughts on a potential fight between Kamaru Usman and Conor McGregor. He said, “Colby Covington is the toughest fight for Kamaru Usman in the welterweight division right now. Because of his cardio, his pace, his pressure, his wrestling. He is a very tough fight for Usman. But if Usman gets through Covington again, and the Conor McGregor fight is an opportunity, why wouldn’t he do it?”

‘DC’ continued, “Any person with a brain would do that. Usman fought against Masvidal on seven days when Masvidal had all the hype….. And he sold more PPVs than he has ever in his whole life…. So If I am Kamaru Usman, for my style, I am definitely taking that or looking into it as an opportunity.”

Conor McGregor to go for a title shot at 170-pounds after recovering?

During a recent #asknotorious session on Twitter, ‘The Notorious’ stated that he would ‘spark’ ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’. Usman replied to McGregor’s claims befittingly stating he would not stand a chance against him. Which is where the discussion of a possible fight between the two started. 

In a separate question put forward by a fan, McGregor revealed that he might possibly return to action at 170-pounds. ‘The Notorious’ is no stranger to the welterweight division having fought there thrice now. However, taking on ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ would not be an uphill task to say the least. 

Kamaru Usman has stated he would never challenge for the 185-pound belt as long as Adesanya is champion. Stating he would rather have three African-born champions. Therefore, the options for super fights for ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ are slim to none. A fight against McGregor would easily be the biggest payday of his career for ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and a far easier challenge than his upcoming opponent, Colby Covington, at UFC 268.
