Bobby Norris quits Towie after 10 years as he reveals surprising career change: ‘Time for me to step back’

Bobby Norris has quit Towie after 10 years to focus on his presenting career, and announced a ‘thrilling’ new project.

The fan favourite won’t be quitting the world of Towie completely as he is set to front a brand new digital programme called Towie: The Official After Party, that will take viewers behind the scenes of the popular ITV reality series.

Knowing Bobby, fans of the show can expect some serious tea.

Making the big announcement on Instagram on Wednesday, Bobby said it ‘feels like the right time’ to move on from Towie after a decade.

The TV star added: ‘After 10 years on TOWIE the show and the fans have been such a huge part of my life, but you haven’t seen the last of me and this is the start of an exciting new chapter!!

‘I’ll be getting all the insider gossip on set and asking you guys for questions to put to the cast, and will also be hosting a studio show every week to discuss new episodes and all things Essex!!’

His co-stars were hyped for him and sent congratulations in the comments, with Amy Childs writing: ‘Can’t wait Bob 👏xx’.

Georgia Kousoulou said: ‘Aww amazing well done Bob’ while Mario Falcone posted: ‘Good luck mate ❤️’

Shelby Tribble wrote: ‘Congratulations Bobs ❤️’.

Chloe Ross added: ‘Ahhh Bob good luck with everything my lovely your going to smash this’, and comedian Donna Preston commented: ‘YESSS CONGRATULATIONS BEAUTIFUL SOUL❤️’

A message from the official Towie account looked forward to Bobby’s next chapter: ‘Cannot wait 🔥🔥 Huge congrats and we are so proud 🙌🙌 #thegossiscoming.’

Bobby arrived on Towie in series four in 2012.
