“Enabled Us to Have All the Benefits”: Serena Williams, Bianca Andreescu Thank Billie Jean King For Her Contribution to Women’s Tennis

Billie Jean King is one of the reasons why modern tennis is structured the way that it is. It is because of her and her team’s efforts that women players receive an equal prize money in the sport today. As a result, almost all tennis players including the likes of Serena Williams, Bianca Andreescu, and others are big fans of the former American player.

In a recent video, both Serena Williams and Bianca Andreescu thanked Billie Jean King for all the things that she has done for the sport. Andreescu highlighted that the former World No.1 player has had a huge impact on her life and she is one of the reasons why the Canadian is a tennis player today.
