The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has shared an update amid her quest to adopt the horse hit by a coach at the Olympics.
Earlier this month at the Tokyo 2020 Games, German modern pentathlon coach Kim Raisner was booted out of the competition after appearing to hit horse Saint Boy during an event.
Rider Annika Schleu was struggling to control the horse during the showjumping round of the women’s event, with Raisner trying to help her get the rattled nag under her spell by striking the beast, which led to her disqualification.
In response, many shared their outrage with actress Kaley branding the act ‘abusive’ and sharing her wish to adopt the animal.
Kaley, who has several rescued animals in her home and competes in showjumping herself, said that she felt it was ‘my duty and heart to comment on this disgrace’, saying: ‘I’ll buy that horse outright and show it the life it should have. Name your price.’
In further posts shared on her Instagram Story, the actor emphasised that she wasn’t joking about her offer to buy the horse.

In an update on Instagram today, it seems Kaley is still working to give the horse a home on her property as she shared an image of Schleu on Saint Boy, writing: ‘Yes still waiting.
‘If anyone was wondering.’
Kaley also shared a clip to a news article in which Schleu addressed the backlash to her Olympics moment, insisting she’d done nothing wrong.

Saying she ‘hated’ the social media criticism she encountered, the Olympian told Germany’s Die Zeit newspaper: ‘I did not treat the horse extremely harshly. I had a crop with me that was checked beforehand. Exactly like the spurs. I am really not aware of any cruelty to animals.
‘I started crying relatively quickly. I was so tense because I realised that the competition could be over before I even started riding. The seconds that passed then felt much longer to me. It was a hopeless, difficult situation for the horse and for me.’
Kaley had previously blasted the moment as a ‘classless abusive representation’ of the sport.
She shared: ‘This is not Olympic show jumping. This is a disgusting classless abusive representation of our sport in so many ways. This team should be ashamed of themselves.

‘You and your team did not do your country proud or this sport. You make us look bad. Shame on you and godspeed to any animal that comes in contact with you.’
The Big Bang Theory star continued, saying the incident exhibited ‘pure classless behaviour’: ‘This is not our sport. This does not represent our sport’, adding: ‘This rider and her “trainer” are a disgrace.’
