Ric Flair trends for extremely X-rated reason and the WWE legend delivers the perfect response

Wrestling legend Ric Flair ended up trending on Twitter today in a very unfortunate X-rated case of mistaken identity.

The WWE Hall of Famer had a good sense of humour on Wednesday when a racy picture – far too rude to share here – went viral on Twitter after someone snapped two passengers enjoying an intimate moment together on a very public train.

Taking the situation in a very unexpected direction when some wrestling fans joked that the man in the photo – who was only visible by the back of his head -bore a passing resemblance to the Nature Boy.

Of course, the internet did his thing, with plenty of people joking about the passing resemblance, and many more simply laughing at how their initial thoughts about him trending couldn’t have been further from the truth.

It didn’t take long for Ric – who recently left WWE to pursue other business opportunities – to catch wind of the unusual turn of events, and he couldn’t resist a cheeky jibe of his own.

Alongside an image of his face photoshopped onto a cartoon train, Naitch wrote: ‘This Picture Is As Real As That Other One Floating Around. The Nature Boy Doesn’t Ride Trains! WOOOOO WOOOOO! (sic)’

There you have it!

Coincidentally, this drama came after AEW wrestler Darby Allin exclusively told Metro.co.uk that he’d be up for teaming with the Icon Sting to battle Flair and his future son-in-law Andrade El Idolo.

There has been some speculation Ric is gearing up for one last in-ring run at the age of 72, and while there’s nothing more than that, there’s something to be said about his longtime WCW rival being back in the squared circle alongside Allin.

On the idea of a potential tag team match, he said: ‘Yeah, that’d be fun! Anything is possible, I feel. You’ve just gotta be patient and see what goes down, and where the wind takes you.’

This in turn comes after Flair made his first non-WWE wrestling appearance in a while when he supported Andrade in his AAA World Title match at TripleMania XXIX and even attacked AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.

In wrestling, 2021 just gets stranger and stranger…
