WWE Planning to Host Unique “Offsite Events” in 2022

MLB hit the jackpot when it used an offsite venue for the game between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees. The venue was none other than the site of the 1989 baseball movie Field Of Dreams. It was a tremendous success, and the fans enjoyed this experience thoroughly. Now, WWE is planning to do the same with matches by using offsite venues in 2022.

According to news, WWE is planning to bring creative matches to the audience at various offsite venues. As of now, the company is aiming to bring Raw to such venues and probably will branch out in the future.

Apart from that, the company will tap into working closely with other music festivals to conduct live wrestling matches directly at the venues, like it did with Rolling Loud Miami 2021.

With the success MLB had w/ the Field of Dreams game last week, WWE has begun very initial discussions about doing a few “offsite events” in 2022. Some ideas discussed within creative include: RAW on the Roof, Hammerstein Ballroom & more direct festival shows a la Rolling Loud.

WWE is tapping into social media to generate SummerSlam 2021 buzz

With SummerSlam 2021 coming up, WWE is trying to boost fan interaction on popular social media platform TikTok. The company is providing the fans an opportunity to record themselves in a face-off pose with either Roman Reigns or John Cena.

The idea is to use a green screen effect, and use the SummerSlam background provided. Next, either pick Roman Reigns or John Cena, and duet with it. Finally, when uploading it on the platform, fans need to use #Summerslam to become a part of the TikTok challenge.

This is going to prove to be an interesting challenge since TikTok is a major platform at the moment, and Cena and Reigns’ feud is red hot in the industry!

SummerSlam 2021 will bring a unique experience

WWE has partnered with Iconic Events Releasing to broadcast SummerSlam 2021 across all movie theatres in USA. This means, anyone who cannot attend the live event can simply purchase a ticket to a theatre nearby to watch the event.

Even though this won’t be equivalent to watching it live from the arena, it will still be an uncommon experience for the WWE Universe. This will be the first time any wrestling PPV has been broadcasted in movie theatres.

If all goes well, this could become a recurring occurrence for other WWE PPVs.
