American Top Team’s Dan Lambert Shoots on AEW and It’s Fans on Dynamite

After Lance Archer’s attack a few weeks ago, MMA figure and American Top Team’s founder Dan Lambert appeared on AEW Dynamite (8/18). Like last time, he had a lot of things to say.

AEW commentator and presenter Tony Schiavone was with Dan Lambert who was there with former UFC Champions Junior Dos Santos and Andrei Arlovski. Lambert promptly called out AEW for falling prey to ‘cancel culture.’

He believed Archer’s attack on him was a planned move from AEW. However, this time, Lambert was cautious and brought back up in the form of the former UFC Champions and American Top Team members.

Then, Lambert insulted the fans, saying the AEW fans were not “hardcore“, they are “hard-up.” Then, Lance Archer entered the arena again. When fans thought Lambert will be attacked again, Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page attacked Archer out of nowhere.

Sky and Page decimated Archer before he could enter the ring. Lambert, Dos Santos, and Arlovski clapped on which made commentator Jim Ross wandered if this was Lambert’s plan all along and he just wanted to lure Archer in.

What did Dan Lambert say last time on AEW?

Lambert is a reputed name in the MMA world thanks to his training center American Top Team. He has trained multiple UFC Champions including Dustin Poirier, Bobby Lashley, Yaroslav Amosov, and many more.

During his last appearance on AEW Dynamite in Miami, Lambert ripped apart AEW. During an interview with Schiavone, Lambert appeared with Jorge Masvidal and, Amanda Nunes. He said he was there because AEW President Tony Khan had invited him.

Lambert was skeptical from the beginning as he was an old-school wrestling fan. “Guys like Eddie Graham and Johnny Valentine. I’d watch Dusty Roads, Terry Funk, Harley Race, and Jack Briscoe tear up a wrestling ring. I’d probably get through the Barry Windham/ Rick Rude era,” he said.

Unfortunately, he believed, pro wrestling became “unwatchable” since the late 1990s. However, Tony Khan spoke about the diversity in AEW, that they have “a locker room full of men and women representing every genre of professional wrestling from Luchador to Japanese strong style.”

Yet, the best part of AEW was its fanbase according to Khan. However, Lambert was not impressed when he came to the show and said he should have trusted his instincts and stayed home. At this point, Lance Archer came and attacked  Lambert.
