Love Island’s Matthew MacNabb shared his thoughts on Faye Winter’s actions after she had another explosive rant in the villa.

The series has been met with more than 24,000 Ofcom complaints from upset viewers as the star screamed at beau Teddy Soares in a vicious argument, before eventually apologising for her words.

During the tirade, which occurred after the infamous ‘movie night’, she also turned her attention to Matthew and Dale Mehmet and yelled at them across the garden.

However, when asked if she was ‘as scary as she seems on TV’, her former co-star leapt to her defence.

‘No not really,’ he began. ‘Honestly, she’s a nice person underneath it all, she’s just very fiery and you just have to know that.

‘I don’t really care if someone screams in my face, I’m not going to do anything, so whatever.’

Faye has been on the warpath over the last few episodes, after learning that some of her co-stars voted her and Teddy among the least compatible couples in the competition, leaving them at risk of going home.

Despite the vote being anonymous, she soon worked out exactly who had put their names in and set about questioning just why that was.

Following a heated clash with Jake Cornish, she broke down in tears to Millie Court and Liam Reardon over their decision.

In last night’s episode, she could be seen turning on Liberty Poole, fuming: ‘I don’t think anyone has really taken on board how I feel for every single one of your OGs to have voted that your relationship isn’t compatible.

‘I would rather now people don’t blow smoke up my a**e. It is what it is, I’m not going to sit around and pretend I’m okay with everything.

‘We’re clearly not friends but it’s not from my perspective. It’s not from me. Unfortunately, maybe I was too nice.’

A shocked Liberty vowed that there was ‘no bad blood’ before walking away from the chat.

We’re not entirely sure Faye feels the same way…

Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.
