Elliot Page has revealed that The Umbrella Academy season three might be on its way soon as it’s ‘almost done’ filming.
Big news!
The actor, who plays Vanya Hargreaves on the wildly popular Netflix series, shared a cute selfie, casually dropping in some major info for fans of the show.
‘Mornin ☀️,’ he wrote, adding: ‘….almost done 🎥 S3 ☂’.
Elliot, we’ll be needing more information immediately please.
While details of the upcoming series are being kept majorly under wraps, we have been blessed with the occasional piece of information, with series co-creator Steve Blackman previously announcing the episode names for season three.
We also know that the next series will pick up after that cliffhanger ending and follow the Hargreeves siblings as they encounter the Sparrow Academy after causing a stir in the timeline of events.
Cast members including Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Aidan Gallagher (Five), and Tom Hopper (Luther) are also set to join Elliot as they return for the third chapter, which started filming in January this year.
The Umbrella Academy, based on the comic book series of the same name written by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, follows a group of individuals each born with unique superpowers and adopted by an eccentric billionaire.
In the first season, the now-grown-up Hargreaves siblings must band together to prevent an apocalypse while also dealing with the aftermath of their adopted father’s death.

In season two, the dysfunctional family find themselves transported to the 1960s, where they face yet another seismic event.
The second series also sees Vanya have an LGBTQ+ love story, which Elliot said was a ‘really exciting opportunity’, particularly given the decade in which it is set.

‘Especially since it takes place in the ‘60s, being able to show some of the obstacles at that time obviously in an era where it was illegal, considered a mental illness,’ the actor said.
As for what storylines season three will entail, fans will have to watch this space.
The Umbrella Academy seasons one and two are available to stream on Netflix.
