Below Deck season 9: Captain Lee Rosbach replaced in new trailer and we miss him already: ‘Tensions are high’
It’s safe to say that Below Deck wouldn’t be the same without Captain Lee Rosbach in the bridge, keeping things sailing smoothly while everyone falls apart without him.
Unfortunately, the season nine trailer shows that he is (briefly) replaced by another Captain on board as the new cast charter around St Kitts.
In a newly released teaser for the upcoming series, which starts on October 25 in the US, he can be seen telling returning star Eddie Lucas – who has the new title of First Officer – that they have to have ‘one of those serious type conversations’ about a cryptic ‘condition’.
Then in walks Captain Sean Meagher to put his own spin on things…
‘We’re leaving the dock with a new captain, new crew, tensions are high,’ Eddie admits to the camera.
‘Come back to me, Captain Lee. Come back to me, my boat daddy.’

Thankfully, Captain Lee eventually returns to take control and it seems his appearance is definitely welcomed as the rest of the boat is in chaos without him.
Well, it wouldn’t be Below Deck without some choppy waters…
Chef Rachel Hargrove has also returned for another stint at sea, but it’s all change for the rest of the cast.
Chief stewardess Francesca Rubi, who joined the show last year, has been replaced by Heather Chase, who will be leading stews Jessica Albert and Fraser Olender in the interior.

While Jake Foulger, Rayna Lindsay, and Wes O’Dell will be making sure things run smoothly on deck.
Which is a lot easier said than done…
The teaser has given us a glimpse of a Below Deck without Captain Lee – something he has insisted won’t be a reality for a very long time.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk last year, he told us that he has never considered quitting the show for a calmer life on land, following close friend Kate Chastain’s exit after season seven.

‘I didn’t give that a second thought,’ he promised us.
‘What’s fine for one person isn’t necessarily great for another person and my spot belongs up in the wheelhouse.
‘So retirement, I think, is overrated.
We love to hear it.
Below Deck season nine sets sail on October 25, with new episodes dropping on hayu in the UK.
