“There Is No Stopping Me Now!”- Conor McGregor Provides Huge Update for Fans After Surgery

At UFC 264, Conor McGregor suffered a gruesome leg injury in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. This injury resulted in ‘The Notorious One’ undergoing surgery. Ever since then, fans have been tuned for any updates regarding his health.

Less than 24 hours after breaking his left tibia and fibula, Conor McGregor underwent surgery. As a result, he has been on bed rest and physical therapy since UFC 264. Hence, he could no longer do his training.

Recently, McGregor went live on his official Instagram handle and provided good news for the fans. It appears now he can resume his training under a Physical Therapist’s supervision.

The ‘Notorious’ one said, “I am getting great news there, really, really good news. Five weeks and five days I am over the surgery, yeah. And they said to me eight weeks is what it’s gonna take for me to be able to get back on the bike. In five weeks and five days, I am back on the bike. So, we can now train on the bike and that’s, it’s game over now.”

“You know what I mean. There is no stopping me now. Although I am only gonna train on the bike with my physical therapist. And I am not going to start rocking around the streets… It’s nice because I am three weeks ahead of schedule.”

Who will Conor McGregor fight on his UFC return?

Considering the anti-climactic end at UFC 264, McGregor will aim to have a fourth fight against Dustin Poirier on his octagon return. However, Poirier, as the top-ranked fighter, will probably go up against the current UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

If the ‘Diamond’ wins the title, McGregor would probably need to claim two to three back-to-back victories before he gets a shot at Dustin Poirier. However, anything is possible with Conor McGregor.

Meanwhile, there is a good chance that McGregor will have a trilogy fight against Nate Diaz. As the pair are tied at 1-1, a third fight will conclude this rivalry. Hence, he could go up against Nate Diaz on his UFC return.

Regardless of who McGregor will fight on his return, fans will tune in just to watch him back in action.
