Celebrity MasterChef is set to whittle down its remaining three celebrities in this week’s heat to two in tonight’s second quarter-final.
In its 16th season, this enduring cooking competition – with an added dash of celebrity – has already aired its first quarter-final as it put its initial batch of famous contestants through their paces in the kitchen.
Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace have already bid farewell to comedian Munya Chawawa, EastEnders actress Rita Simons and, in the first quarter-final, Blue star Duncan James.
Now in the second heat of competitors, three different celebrities have their aprons on and knives sharpened, ready to battle their way through to earn a coveted place in the Celebrity MasterChef semi-final.
Who is taking part in Celebrity MasterChef tonight?
From an initial field of model and TV presenter (and part-time copper) Penny Lancaster, Towie star Megan McKenna, TV host Melanie Sykes, Great British Sewing Bee judge Patrick Grant and Britain’s Got Talent comedian Nabil Abdulrashid, it is the girls that have survived so Penny, Megan and Melanie remain in with a shot of progressing further in the competition.

Patrick was sent home first after a failed attempt at pancakes undermined his initial promise, and then Nabil followed suit in the second round after a watery rice disaster.
Tonight’s quarter-final sees these three remaining celebrities tasked with preparing a two-course meal that will not only be judged by John and Gregg, but also served up to 2011 series champion Phil Vickery, 2008 finalist Andi Peters and 2020 Christmas champion Craig Revel Horwood.
