Will John Cena Leave WWE After SummerSlam 2021?

‘The Leader of the Cenation’, John Cena, made his highly anticipated return to WWE last month at Money in the Bank, becoming one of the most popular moments of 2021 so far.

The 16-time World Champion came back and immediately set his eyes on ‘The Head of the Table’ of the SmackDown brand, Roman Reigns, who will face-off against Cena this Saturday.

With John Cena successfully enjoying his new career in Hollywood, the WWE Universe is still skeptical about Cena’s status after his SummerSlam match against Reigns.

Yes, Cena has pending film projects due in the upcoming months. However, WWE announced last month that Cena will address the crowd at a Madison Square Garden episode of SmackDown.

For now, the WWE has provided no information about Cena’s present WWE contract. However, it doesn’t seem like there are more wrestling days ahead for Cena.

Last week on SmackDown, the wrestling fans witnessed a fiery verbal back-and-forth between Reigns and Cena; however, Cena made a rather interesting remark about him winning the match.

Cena said that he’d win the championship from Roman and leave the arena just like CM Punk did to Cena at Money in the Bank back in 2011.

If this is indeed his final hurray in WWE, they would give him another title run. WWE would be fools to not capitalise on Cena’s popularity. With the return to live events in full swing, Cena could be their main crowd-puller. Unless there are plans to bring back legends like The Rock or maybe even Undertaker, Cena’s their safest bet.

Maybe Vince McMahon could even try to put the belt on Cena for the 17th time and let him wrestle a few matches before he passes the torch to someone else; maybe back to Roman Reigns?

All in all, it looks like John Cena will stay with the WWE after his SummerSlam match against Roman Reigns.
