Below Deck Mediterranean star Hannah Ferrier reveals unseen crew sparked tensions on board

Below Deck Mediterranean star Hannah Ferrier revealed there are unseen cast members that we don’t see, and we need some answers.

The former chief stewardess was axed from the Med spin-off in season five, and has since flourished on land, welcoming her first child with fiancé Josh Roberts.

But the 34-year-old still found time to spill some tea on the behind-the-scenes drama, confessing that two unseen crews actually cause a lot of tension on board.

Appearing on Smallzy’s Surgery, on the Nova Network, she told the host: ‘We’ve got a chase boat that constantly follows. This one is a very common misconception where people get confused.

‘Okay, what we have is a usually a first mate and the engineer, so you need those legally and this is sometimes where you can see frustration in the interior crew because basically the deck crew has two more crews that are off camera.

‘There’s no other interior crew at all but there is two other deck crew.’

Wait, not one but two extra crews? What else are we not seeing? How does everyone fit in those cramped conditions?

Hannah’s comments come after Caroline Bedol let slip of a secret fourth stew behind the scenes.

Again, where is all this space?!

The stew, who appeared on Below Deck season six alongside Kate Chastain, set the record straight on Reddit, when one curious user questioned whether having only three people in the interior crew is normal in the industry.

Admitting that all isn’t quite as it seems, Caroline claimed: ‘A fourth stew comes onboard between charters and does a huge chunk of the work. We literally never scrub a toilet.

‘The only thing we do in the guest cabins is arrange the shampoo and soap. The master cabin we do the linens.

‘I wish that stew got the credit she deserves!! The girl in Tahiti was amazing!’

Clarifying their duties in another comment, she added: ‘We clean up the cabins and heads on charter, of course, and wipe down surfaces, but the day worker does the major cleaning!

‘Big parties thrown on land, like you saw in Tahiti, with dancers and musicians… Those arrangements are not actually made by the chief stew, but someone with production.

‘The chief stew is meant to act like she is organising it, however.’

Consider our minds well and truly blown.

Below Deck is available to stream on hayu now.
