Sorry guys, there won’t be a James Bond TV series: ‘We’ve resisted that call for 60 years’

As one of the most successful movie franchises of all time, naturally TV giants would be desparate to get a slice of the Jame Bond cake.

Sadly, it’s not going to happen.

Earlier this year it was confirmed Amazon Prime was in the process of negotiating a multi-billion dollar deal to buy MGM, the home of 007.

In turn, loyal fans of the secret agent were concerned the James Bond franchise would be expanding MCU style with spin-off films and a potential TV series.

Well, fear not, because while in conversation with Total Film, Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli stressed the spy will only be shaken and stirred on the big screen.

‘We make films,’ said Broccoli. ‘We make films for the cinema. That’s what we do.’

Wilson added that they’ve ‘resisted that call for 60 years’ and they’re not going to cave in now.

Regardless, there’s still the release of No Time To Die, the enormously delayed 007 film that was initially planned to be released in March 2020 but faced numerous delays due to the Covid pandemic.

Thankfully, an affirmative release date has been confirmed.

No Time to Die will come to UK cinemas on September 30.
