TWO people are trapped under falling granite boulders at a Cornwall beauty spot as emergency services rush to the scene.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance was called to the accident near Penzance this afternoon, say reports.

Coastguard and police were called to the incident at Holywell, Eastbourne.

Crews from St Just, Tolvaddon and Penzance attended the scene this afternoon, reports Cornwall Live.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “Critical control received a call from ambulance requesting our attendance to assist their crews in removing large granite boulders that had fallen on top of two persons .

“Crews from St Just, Tolvaddon, Penzance supported by a flexi duty officer attended. Crews used crash rescue and specialist lifting equipment to release the persons.

“Once released the persons were handed over to West Country Ambulance. This is all the information we have at this time.”
