VIDEO: Georges St-Pierre Makes a Cameo in Bas Rutten’s Legendary Self Defense Series

UFC legend and former 2 division champion, Georges St-Pierre recently made a cameo in former UFC heavyweight champion, Bas Rutten’s legendary self-defense series. The ‘Rush’ shares a close bond with the former kickboxer, as they have also previously collaborated for Karate videos.

In the video released by ESPN, we could see Rutten taking the help of a man for showing self-defense techniques. In the first posture, we could see Rutten breaking the grip from a grapple hold and using a headbutt to surprise his opponent. The former UFC champ then advises using the knee to hit the stomach.

He then takes the man and uses the bar table to smash his head multiple times. He then shows how we can use an uppercut whenever a person tries to grab hold of our head.

Then ‘Rush’ enters the scene and explains what he does when he is having an argument with someone. In a completely unorthodox method to what Rutten was using, GSP said he tries to give a compliment to his opponent in order to ease the pressure surrounding him.

To support his quotes, he compliments a man (who we should assume is having an argument with him) standing in front of him. The ‘Rush’ praises that man’s shirt and the shoes he was wearing. According to him, this can turn any argument into a pleasant discussion.

Georges St-Pierre reveals who Conor McGregor should fight after he returns

Former UFC dual division champion Conor McGregor snapped his leg at UFC 264. He is currently recovering from the injury and also from the surgery that took place just after the mishap. Although it would take him a year to make a return, he has already set his sights to challenge Poirier for the fourth time.

GSP, who has always admired Conor’s work ethic, advised him to not get into another brawl with the ‘Diamond’. According to him, Poirier has somehow figured out to dominate him. Instead, the ‘Rush’ advised ‘The Notorious’ one to challenge another former opponent.

“I think he should come back (and) fight maybe Nate Diaz, or someone else that has a different style than Dustin Poirier,” GSP said to Ariel Helwani in ‘The MMA Hour’ show.

“Styles make fights and sometimes I have the feeling that now Dustin Poirier probably has his number right now. And Conor’s been out for a long time. He needs to get back in there. To spend more time in the octagon in order to find his own self.”
