Why is Love Island not on tonight?

As well as unmissable drama, Love Island brings the comfort of not having to make a plan at 9pm for two months.
However, for any of you hoping to cuddle up on the sofa to see the fallout of Liberty and Jake’s decision to leave the villa days before the final we have bad news.
Love Island is not on Saturday nights, marking the one night where we don’t get a dose of turned heads, mad moves, and NVQ graduations.
With the final airing on Monday, there’s not much time left to spend with the 2021 contestants.
But why is the show not on tonight, and when does it return?
Why is Love Island not on tonight?
The ITV2 dating show skips every Saturday night and airs the other six nights of the week at 9pm.
Instead, an ‘unseen bits’ episode will air at 10pm, airing funny moments that didn’t make the edit earlier in the week.

There is no new episode on Saturdays as the Islanders get a day off from filming, where they can leave the villa so the cleaners can go in.
Speaking on This Morning, 2017 winner Kem Cetinay said: ‘They give you one day off. You get one day off per week. What happens is, it gives them a day to clean the villa, and you take your mics off, and normally we go to the beach.’
Kem added: ‘So what happens is, when you take your mic off, you are not allowed to talk about anything to do with the show, you have to talk about home life.
‘You are being watched by the producers, because they don’t want you to talk about what is going on. They are quite careful about what you talk about, because they want to keep it so everyone at home can see it.’
When will Love Island return?
Fans will have to wait until Sunday night to find out the results of the latest public vote, with the winners of the overall series being announced on Monday.
Love Island: Unseen Bits is on at 9pm on ITV2, with the main show returning at 9pm on Sunday.
