Britney Spears dogs have reportedly been returned to her amid an alleged dispute about their health and treatment.

The star’s dog sitter and housekeeper made accusations that her dogs were being neglected, and were reportedly taken from her home earlier this month.

However TMZ reports the pets were returned on Friday by the dog sitter, while the publication also claims the housekeeper no longer works for the Womanizer hitmaker.

A source previously revealed that one of the singer’s dogs became sick two weeks ago, leading the dog sitter – who is also a nurse – to take both of the performer’s pets to the vet.

The health of the dogs is said to have sparked a dispute as Britney is currently being investigated for alleged battery, after it was claimed the singer allegedly slapped the housekeeper’s phone away from her grasp after claiming she wasn’t happy with the singer’s dogs’ wellness.

Britney’s camp denies the incident.

It comes amid the pop star’s legal battle as she tries to have her father Jamie removed from her conservatorship, which she has been under since 2008.

In a rare video message to fans directly addressing the situation she shared the process was going ‘way better than I anticipated’.

Jamie has voluntarily filed papers at Los Angeles Superior Court to remove himself as conservator, with his lawyer stating in court documents that Jamie ‘does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests.’

It adds that he will ‘work with the Court and his daughter’s new attorney’ to handover to a new conservator.
