Mark Wright has had enough of explaining how he and wife Michelle Keegan make their marriage work.

The couple have hectic professional lives with Mark as a TV presenter and Michelle a successful actress, with busy schedules sometimes keeping them apart for weeks at a time, sometimes in different countries.

Mark says this works for them and it’s no one’s business how much they see each other.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday the former Towie said: ‘Nobody needs to know how much Michelle and I see each other.

‘We always make it work. It’s just a lot of travelling really, up and down the motorway.

‘We both work hard, she works hard, there are no rules in life are there? I might see her for five days, go to work for a day then see her for another five.

‘We see each other plenty, people don’t need to worry about that.’

The former Coronation Street star also slapped down talk of her working abroad putting a ‘strain’ on their marriage.

In an interview with You magazine she rubbished the idea of her absence causing tensions.

She said: ‘Going away for work is never seen as a good thing, only as a negative, and I don’t understand that.

‘Are you seriously supposed to turn down work in case it impacts your marriage? I find it ridiculous.’

The TV presenter has been updating fans on the progress of their house build as they had their dream Georgian windows installed.

He added that the protective sheeting and scaffolding around the house was ‘days away’ from being removed, which will allow him and Michelle to finally see the home they have been building for over a year.

Mark then shared a video of him and the builders challenging each other to a chin-up competition using the scaffolding still present within the inside of the building.

Mark and the Brassic star, who have been married for over six years, designed the £3.5million mansion themselves and are looking forward to the build being finished after the Covid-19 pandemic slowed down the project.
