Yordenis Ugas’ Manager Shoots Down Injury Rumors Ahead of the Manny Pacquiao Fight

The stage is set for one of the biggest boxing events of 2021 between Manny Pacquiao and Yordenis Ugas. In a few hours from now, the pair will lock horns with each other in a gigantic 12-round encounter for Ugas’ WBA welterweight ‘super’ belt. That said, this fight has all the essential ingredients to stand tall on fans’ expectations. And everyone is intrigued to see this duo taking up the ring space.

But during the weigh-ins of this epic clash, many boxing pundits and fans observed a slightly injured left bicep of champ Ugas. This left everyone in a state of worry and many thought that ’54 Milagros’ might have to pull out of the fight last minute.

But recently, his manager, Luis DeCubas, spoke exclusively to Mike Coppinger. Here, he cleared the air on this injury and gave an honest notion on the same.

“Ugas is ready to go and he’s coming to shock the world tonight.” claimed DeCubas. The latter even asserted that Ugas is ‘100 percent’ ready for this epic encounter.

This is predominantly the biggest breakthrough opportunity that the Cuban boxer has earned in his boxing stint. Staging a fight with someone as stout as Pacquiao isn’t easy by any means. But ’54 Milagros’ got this vital chance to prove his worth, and he’s completely engrossed in this fight.

Furthermore, this fight will see ‘Pacman’ breaking his long two-year boxing layoff. He was in search of a rugged opponent and, for now, no one better than Ugas could have offered him a noteworthy test at the stacked 147-pound weight class.
