Beyoncé’s father Mathew Knowles has shut down hope that the group is set to reunite after speculation began to swirl last week.
A new logo that appeared on Destiny Child’s social media pages sparked speculation among fans that the girl group, comprising of Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, could be reforming.
However, Mathew – who remains the manager of Destiny’s Child – has since denied the rumors and said there are ‘zero plans’ for the trio to reunite in any capacity.
He told TMZ that he did not request the change in the header of the group’s Twitter and Facebook profiles, explaining it as merely a routine update.
During their 16 years together, the band released five studio albums before the girl group disbanded following a farewell performance at the 2006 NBA All-Star Game.
Destiny’s Child most recently performed together at the Coachella music festival in 2018, during which Kelly and Michelle joined Beyoncé as part of her headline set.

Luckily, there is still something for fans to get excited about after Beyonce’s recently promised that ‘music is coming’ after she spent a ‘year and a half’ in the studio.
The star’s last solo studio album was 2016’s Lemonade so it’s definitely time for the fans to enjoy some new Bey.
Since that release her other musical projects have been the collaborative LP Everything Is Love with her husband Jay-Z, the Black Is King visual album, and the soundtrack which she created for Disney’s 2019 remake of The Lion King.

The 39-year-old recently revealed that she spent much of the Covid-19 pandemic locked away in the studio laying down new tracks and now as the world re-opens she cannot wait to unveil her songs to her fans.
She said told Harper’s Bazaar: ‘With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again.

‘I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half …’
‘Yes, the music is coming!’ she concluded.
