CLINICAL! Alexander Zverev Sweeps Past Andrey Rublev To Clinch Cincinnati Open 2021

It was the final of the Cincinnati Open 2021 and it was a mouth-watering contest between Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev. Both players have played each other on many occasions and like always, the German star emerged as the eventual winner. He won the match 6-2 6-3.

Set 1: Alexander Zverev is too ruthless for the Russian player

As the match began, Alexander Zverev broke Andrey Rublev in the opening game of the match. He quickly consolidated the break by holding his serve in the next game.

To make matters worse for the Russian star, Zverev broke his opponent for the second time in the third game of the set. In the end, the two breaks were enough to put him in the driver’s seat.
