“How Can I Miss That One”: Feliciano Lopez Forget a Triumphant Moment With Andy Murray

Former World No. 1 Andy Murray has been one of the key players on the Tour for over a decade. Over the years, he has developed a habit of playing in the doubles category too. He has partnered with various players and has enjoyed decent success in these events.

Recently, Andy Murray’s name was involved in a conversation. Spanish tennis player Feliciano Lopez was answer questions and the one question that caught my attention was when Feli was asked to name his three partners with who he has won an ATP doubles title.

Interestingly, Lopez got the first two names right, compatriot Fernando Verdasco and Marc Lopez. However, he was unable to guess the third player and after getting a clue that he is Scottish, he then guessed it. He went on to say, “Oh f… How can I miss that one?”

Andy Murray did not make it to Melbourne

Coming to his season so far, Murray was supposed to compete at the Australian Open but couldn’t make it due to the COVID-19 restrictions. He made an appearance in Rome, where he was seen practicing with World No. 1 Novak Djokovic. He did compete in the doubles event but did not go too deep into the event.

The former World No. 1 decided to skip the French Open and was seen at Queen’s Club, a place where he has enjoyed tremendous success. He lost to the eventual champion, Matteo Berrettini.

Next up for Murray was the Wimbledon Championships. However, he lost in the third round. At the moment, he is busy competing in Windsor-Salem. We wish him the very best for the upcoming matches and the rest of the season.
