Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor were involved in an extremely exciting trilogy that had an unfortunate end at UFC 264. ‘The Notorious’ snapped his leg in half towards the end of round one during the fight. The fight was then called off giving Poirier a TKO win on the night. With the win, Poirier also wrapped up the trilogy 2-1.
A few hours back, a fan shared a clip of Dustin Poirier sharing a story involving him and his wife. In the clip, Poirier shared that he got into a full-blown altercation with another group of men. The fight started as one of the men inappropriately touched his wife, Jolie Poirier.
McGregor replied to the Tweet saying, “Ye sounds about right.” Dustin Poirier hit back with a photo of McGregor knocked out on the canvas after their fight at UFC 257.
Ye pal live on that one way back, I will too. I bounced your head off the canvas like a basketball. Your wife bro. The dm’s. Elbows into your dome. The soft part of the skull that doesn’t harden ever. From when you’re a baby. Drilled into your skull at 100mph. U slept on my belly

‘The Notorious’ then replied saying, “Ye pal live on that one way back, I will too. I bounced your head off the canvas like a basketball. Your wife bro. The dm’s. Elbows into your dome. The soft part of the skull that doesn’t harden ever. From when you’re a baby. Drilled into your skull at 100mph. Is Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 4 a possibility?
McGregor demanded an immediate rematch as soon as the fight was done at UFC 264. Dana White and Dustin Poirier were both open to the idea of making the fight a fourth time. From a business point of view, it would make a lot of sense given UFC 264 was the second most successful UFC card after UFC 229. McGregor and Poirier generated a mind-boggling 3.4 million PPV buys from their last two fights.
However, given that McGregor will return to action only in the second half of next year, there are a lot of scenarios that need to play out. The landscape at lightweight might be completely different to what it is at the moment. Therefore an immediate rematch might not be a possibility. However, a fourth fight between the two men is inevitable at some point in the future.
