Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock announces birth of twins with fiancé Andre Gray

Congratulations to Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock who has welcomed twins with fiancé Andre Gray.

In a shock announcement, the 29-year-old confirmed she had given birth to twins on August 16, sharing a black and white picture of her babies’ little feet.

She wrote: ‘We asked for a miracle, we were given two… 🥺🖤 Our Cubbies are here 😍🖤16/08/21.’

She did not reveal the babies’ genders, but safe to say fans were stunned, as Leigh-Anne had not previously revealed she was expecting twins.

Bandmate Perrie Edwards, who gave birth five days after Leigh-Anne but announced her news yesterday, commented: ‘Two bundles of absolute joy! I love you my Lee Lee!’

Rochelle Humes added: ‘Double the blessings.’

Leigh-Anne’s announcement comes just a day after Perrie, 28, confirmed she had welcomed her and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first child on August 21.

The star captioned her Instagram post: ‘Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21.’

Leigh-Anne had commented: ‘I am so proud of you and I love you so much 🥺 what an angel.’

And it’s double – well, triple – the celebration for the Pinnock family as Leigh-Anne’s older sister Sairah gave birth to her son Sevn last week.

The Sweet Melody singer announced her baby joy in May, a year after she and Andre got engaged, posting a glam photoshoot on social media.

She wrote in the caption: ‘We’ve dreamed about this moment for so long and we can’t believe the dream is finally coming true… we can’t wait to meet you. ❤️😍.’

Throughout her pregnancy the star has been open about the challenges she faced including swollen hands and feet.

The mum-to-be praised her body for carrying her child and said she was ‘grateful’ for her journey.

‘Time to give my body some credit 💫… this is the hardest thing I have EVER done, I have struggled these past few weeks,’ Leigh-Anne began on Instagram before detailing what she had been dealing with.

‘Swollen hands and feet, bruised ribs and then chuck in a whole heap of hormones to the mix 😩 but then I think about what’s actually going on inside this belly and I’m mind blown… creating life… I am so proud of how far I’ve come and so grateful for this blessing.’

Leigh-Anne and Andre announced their engagement in May 2020.

The Watford footballer popped the question during a romantic evening in their garden during lockdown.

Leigh-Anne shared the news in an Instagram post with a photo of her and Andre kissing while flashing her engagement ring, and wrote: ‘Guys.. wtf has just happened… He bloody did it, and I said yes.

‘I’m marrying my soul mate, the man of my flipping dreams… I am lost for words, so I think I’m just going to go cry some more @andregray_ I love you so much. My world is literally complete.’

Leigh-Anne and Andre, both 29, first started dating in 2016.

Days after Leigh-Anne announced her baby news, Perrie confirmed she was also pregnant.

The girls, plus bandmate Jade Thirlwall, have just celebrated Little Mix’s 10th anniversary, and are releasing a best of album in November featuring some never before heard songs.
