Love Island’s Faye Winter revealed she was desperate the show during the early days – as she was voted off the show on Monday night.

The lettings manager, 26, finished in third place with boyfriend Teddy Soares, also 26, during the final.

She said she found life in the villa so uncomfortable at first that she almost quit altogether.

On how tough she found the early days, she told show host Laura Whitmore: ‘I didn’t want to be here. I wanted to go home. I hated it.

‘I wanted to go home. I wanted to ring my mum and dad and say, “Come and get me,” but it worked out for the best.’

Faye and Teddy finished in third place after Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank, both 26, were announced in fourth place.

Faye and Teddy made their romance official last week as he asked her to be his girlfriend on a romantic date.

The pair were seen standing in a pool full of rose petals as Teddy said he had something on the ‘tip of his tongue’.

He popped the question to take their relationship to the next level, with Faye looking thrilled as she told him yes.

Heading back inside the villa, Teddy told his fellow islanders: ‘She’s my girlfriend, man!’

The pair became embroiled in controversy after Teddy visited Casa Amor and Faye was left raging after watching a video of him saying he was ‘sexually attracted’ to new bombshell Clarisse Juliette.

Viewers were left upset after seeing Faye scream at Teddy for his actions, with more than 24,000 people complaining to Ofcom, a record for the show.

Faye later apologised to Teddy and the pair became inseparable once more.
