Love Island 2021: Priya Gopaldas explains why she told Faye Winter she didn’t vote her and Teddy Soares least compatible

Love Island star Priya Gopaldas was given a chance to explain herself after she revealed to Faye Winter that she didn’t vote for her and Teddy Soares as the least compatible couple.
Priya and fellow bombshell Brett Staniland were dumped from the island last week after islanders were told to pick which pairing they couldn’t see going the distance.
Faye was seen going into detective mode to determine who picked her and Teddy, but before Priya left the villa she pulled Faye for a chat to reveal that she and Brett had not voted for them.
There was drama in the following episode as Faye broke down in tears and went on the war path to find out who did vote for them.
Appearing on Monday’s Lorraine, host Christine Lampard asked the former islander why she decided to deliver ‘that parting shot’ which led to big trouble later on.
Priya explained: ‘I felt that Faye, she’s the kind of person who really values honesty, and I see a friendship with her outside the villa so I just had to be honest with her.
‘I thought it was only fair that I did [tell her] just so we can have friendship later on.’
When asked if she ‘knew there would be a few fireworks’ as a result, she replied: ‘I didn’t know for sure. You never know what to expect with Faye.’

Faye and Teddy have made it all the way to tonight’s final with Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank, Millie Court and Liam Reardon and Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran.
Sunday night’s instalment saw the islanders get to meet two members of their family before introducing them to their partners.
Teddy’s brothers, Sidney and Carlos kept it real about his earlier, explosive row with Faye after she was shown a video of him admitting to finding another islander attractive.

Their shocking argument received a record-breaking 24,000 Ofcom complaints due to her attitude, but they eventually managed to kiss and make-up, with Teddy making her his girlfriend last week.
The brothers didn’t mince their words when Faye claimed she ‘wasn’t that bad’ during the row.
‘Bad is an understatement,’ the brothers replied. ‘You were terrible. You were very bad.’
However they acknowledged that the couple had ‘grown’ from the situation.
