After the Love Island finalists all enjoyed their final dates of the series – with some going better than others (sorry, Jake and Liberty) – former contestant Georgia Steel has dropped a huge bombshell, revealing what really goes on behind the scenes.
Georgia was front and centre of some of the biggest drama of her series in 2018 after her love interest Josh Denzel returned from Casa Amor with Kaz Crossley.
She went on to couple up with newcomer Sam Bird before their romance came to an end shortly after their stint in the villa.
But after going on her fair share of dates whilst on the programme, Georgia has now given insight into exactly what the audience don’t get to see.
Georgia told Daily Star Online: ‘The dates are one of the most exciting things, because you get to leave the villa, which you don’t get to do that often!
‘It’s always really exciting. But normally, on the way to a date, you’re split up. You go in separate cars.’
She went on to note: ‘I understand it from Love Island’s point of view – they want to capture the moment of you experiencing time together, one-on-one.

‘And obviously if you’re in a car together going down to the date, you’re going to be discussing everything you would usually discuss on a date.’
Georgia also explained there can be multiple takes done during date scenes to ensure producers catch all the best moments, but insisted: ‘It’s only for the goodness of creating the show.’

Last night saw the four remaining couples told they had all made it through to the final of the 2021 series.
It came after they had been reunited with their families for the first time since making their way into the villa.
Tonight’s finale will see one couple crowned the winners of the series.
And it’s currently Millie Court and Liam Reardon favourite to steal the title, with Paddy Power and Betfair ranking the couple at 8/13 to win.

Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran are expected to come second, with Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank predicted to come just behind.
But who will walk away with their share of the £50,000 prize money?
Love Island concludes tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
