Piers Morgan’s wife Celia Walden has revealed the secret to making their marriage work is to send her husband halfway across the world for a couple of weeks of peace.
The author, 45, has been with Piers, 56, since 2006 and married since 2010, but fans of the couple noticed she and their nine-year-old daughter Elise were absent from his holiday to Antigua.
Piers is currently there with his three sons from his first marriage on a boys’ trip, having holidayed to Antigua with the family several times over the years.
Celia shared a photo of Piers reading The Husbands by Chandler Baker, joking: ‘When I said “This book might just save your marriage” in my interview with @chandlerbakerbooks in today’s Telegraph, I should have made it clear that He needs to read it too…
‘And spend a couple of weeks a year 5000 miles away.’
When one fan asked why she wasn’t in Antigua too, Celia replied: ‘he’s having a boys holiday. And I’m having a Piers-cation…’

Celia admitted that she was having to skip over the photos and videos Piers was posting from the trip as he and sons Spencer, 28, Stanley, 24, and Bertie, 20, made the most of the idyllic scenery.
Piers has posted photos of him on a boat and getting dinner with his sons, adding: ‘What a fantastic place… incredible views, fabulous food, superb service. Lives up to all the award-winning hype. Thanks @sheerrocks.’

He also shared a snap of them all in matching all-white outfits on the beach, joking: ‘Bee Gee Morgans… and yes, it’s a (fashion) tragedy. #WhiteNight #JumbyBay.’
Just to really rub it in that he is having a much better time than the rest of us, Piers also posted a video panning across him and his sons on the back of a boat, captioned: ‘Today’s office’.
