The release date for the Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That… has been announced and there isn’t long to go until the highly-anticipated revival hits TV screens.

More than a decade after the second Sex and the City film was released and 17 years after the final episode of the series, original cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are reprising their respective roles as Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte in the reboot.

While Kim Catrall is not returning as the fourth member of the gang Samantha, fans can’t wait to see the trio return for more antics in the Big Apple with their families and friends.

Numerous set photos have been released over the past few weeks, showing the cast members filming scenes, including a night out on the town and a funeral for an unknown individual (who some believe to be Chris Noth’s Mr Big).

While fans may have thought that there would still be a while to wait until the show premieres, it’s emerged that the release date is sooner than many would have anticipated.

In a press release, HBO Max confirmed that And Just Like That… will be launching this fall, which means it is likely to come out at some point between September and November.

While an exact launch date for the premiere is yet to be revealed, it’s exciting to think that we’re only a few months away from being reunited with this fabulous cast!

In the synopsis for And Just Like That… HBO Max explains how much Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte have evolved since Sex and the City, maturing from their 30s into their 50s.

‘The new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series Sex and the City follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,’ it states.

It has recently been speculated that new cast member Nicole Ari Parker could be replacing Kim in the group, in her role as Lisa Todd Wexley, a documentarian who lives on Park Avenue and has three children.

Earlier this month, Sarah shared a loved-up snap with her co-star and on-screen love interest Chris, writing in the caption: ‘These 2. I bet they stay out late tonight.’

It was recently claimed that And Just Like That… will see a main character killed off in the first episode, with some fans placing their bets on it being Big.

And Just Like That… will premiere this autumn in the US on HBO Max.
