Succession season 3 is set to premiere in October this year.
The third series of the hugely popular HBO comedy drama has been a long time coming following production delays due to the pandemic, but now we have a clearly idea of when to expect its return.
The show’s official Twitter account shared a post today featuring a new image of Brian Cox in character as Logan Roy, and teased the upcoming premiere.
The tweet simply read: ‘October.’
OK, so it’s not an exact release date but it’s certainly less vague than the previous ‘autumn’ update, so we’re getting closer.
Filming got underway late last year, and the third season is now set to drop over two years after the second season aired.
The series stars Cox alongside the likes of Jeremy Strong (Kendall Roy), Sarah Snook (Shiv Roy), Kieran Culkin (Roman Roy) and Alan Ruck (Connor Roy), as well as Nicholas Braun (Cousin Greg), Matthew Macfadyen (Tom Wambsgans) and J. Smith-Cameron (Gerri Kellman).
More names are set to return for the third series, including Peter Friedman, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Dagmara Dominczyk, Arian Moayed, Harriet Walter, Hiam Abbass and James Cromwell.
There are some newcomers joining the fray too, with Alexander Skargard, Linda Emond, Hope Davis, Ella Rumpf, Adrien Brody, Sanaa Lathan, Jihae Kim and Dasha Nekrasova set to appear.

In the upcoming episodes, Logan must convince the members of his clan to back him, as they conspire behind the scenes to claim power for themselves.
In a trailer for series three, he’s shown losing his cool, resulting in him having to be held back by several people in an office.
‘He’s our dad, but he was going to send me to jail. He’d do the same to all of us,’ Kendall says behind his father’s back, blatantly trying to convince the other members of their family not to trust him.

Meanwhile, Succession fans are untoubtedly excited for the return, but they might have to make the most of every moment while they still can.
Earlier this year, series writer and executive producer Georgia Pritchett said that it was likely to end after season four, stating: ‘I think the maximum would be five seasons, but possibly more like four.’
The writer added that they have a ‘good end in sight’.
Succession returns to Sky Atlantic and NOW in October.
