Alyssa Milano has shared that her uncle is on life support and ‘still in and out of consciousness’ after they were involved in a ‘traumatic’ crash.

The Charmed actress was a passenger in her Uncle Mitch’s car as he drove her to an appointment last week, when he suffered a ‘serious heart attack’ at the wheel.

In a video update on TikTok the 48-year-old explained he ‘lost consciousness with his foot on the gas’.

Her relative remains in hospital and may be battling an infection, having suffered a fever.

Speaking to her followers, an emotional Alyssa said: ‘An update on Uncle Mitch. For those of you who do not know, I was in the car with Uncle Mitch last week. We were driving to an appointment for me for my ears because I still have ringing in my ears from Covid, and on the way there Uncle Mitch suffered a major heart attack.

‘He lost consciousness with his foot on the gas and it was some of the most horrifying moments of my life.

‘I got the car to stop and there were some incredibly kind people who stopped to help me through the next 40 minutes. I feel like I need to say a special thank you to these incredible good Samaritans who stopped to help. Please be one of those good Samaritans.

‘Thank you to all of you who have sent an outpouring of love and support. Uncle Mitch is still in and out of consciousness. He’s on life support.

‘My brother went there yesterday and played him some oldies and his whole body started moving so he really loved that. The nurses at the UCLA and doctors are taking incredibly good care of him, but he’s got a long road ahead of him. He spiked a fever last night of 103 so we think that it’s an infection that he’s also beating throughout all of this.

‘But he is a fighter, Uncle Mitch is a fighter and the doctos say that every day is a miracle that he still hangs on, so thank you again for your concern, for wanting to know how he is.’

She finished off: ‘Please get trained in CPR. You could be called upon to save a life at some point and it’s really valuable to know how to do that. Thank you so much, have a great day.’

According to TMZ, eyewitnesses said that the Hollywood star reacted quickly after the smash, and began performing CPR on Mitch until the medics arrived.
