Love Island is over for another year after Millie Court and Liam Reardon were named the winners for 2021 in Monday night’s final.

The couple triumphed over fellow finalists Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares and Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank.

Millie and Liam – who are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend – made history as the first ever villa bombshells to win.

This series began at the end of June, with Liam entering the villa on day four.

Meanwhile, Millie entered the villa a few days later, on day nine, making a splash alongside Lucinda Strafford.

The pair are also £50,000 richer after Millie chose to share the prize money with her new man.

It won’t the last time this year’s islanders see each other, as they will be brought back together for the show’s annual reunion episode.

Love Island 2021: When is the reunion special?

The September air date was announced by host Laura Whitmore in the closing seconds of the final.

As the four remaining couples hugged it out, she said: ‘Join me on Sunday 5th September for Love Island: The Reunion.’ So there you have it!

Fans of the show will remember previous reunions can be pretty explosive as old scores are settled and new romances heat up.

More: Love Island

It will be the first reunion special since 2019 as it was dropped for the winter series in 2020. And that was before the pandemic, by the way.

The 2018 Christmas reunion famously aired after that year’s winners, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, temporarily split before the episode went out.

Love Island: The Reunion airs September 5 on ITV2.
