Michael McIntyre is going Stateside.
The comedian is taking his BBC gameshow The Wheel to the US, and will not only executive produce the NBC version, but will host as well.
NBC confirmed earlier this year that they had ordered a 10 episode run of the show, but have confirmed that McIntyre, 45, will be hosting when it comes to air in 2022.
This will be McIntyre’s first big job in the States, having conquered both stand-up in the UK with record-breaking tours and television, with his show Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.
It was this variety show that caused the comic to dream up The Wheel, as it became to difficult to film during Covid-19 restrictions.
The star dreamt up a new gameshow, which involves celebrities being strapped to an outer wheel and helping contestants, rotating on another wheel, to achieve a cash prize by giving help in their areas of expertise.
If the chosen contestant gets all of their questions right, they can achieve a total cash prize of £230,000.

The Wheel premiered on BBC One on Saturday nights in 2020, and was commissioned for a second series, which began airing in July.
The show has already been recreated in Germany and the Netherlands, with Chris Tall and Rob Kemps presenting the respective series.
NBC produces a number of American remakes of UK favourites, including Who Do You Think You Are? and The Weakest Link, which is hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch.

Meanwhile, ABC hosts Dancing With The Stars, the American adaptation of Strictly Come Dancing, which features Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman as judges.
However, not all exports have worked out.
NBC ordered an American version of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway in 2015, renamed Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris, but it was cancelled after just one season.
