WWE star Karrion Kross reveals new look on Raw but fans roast ‘BDSM gladiator’ mask

It’s certainly a choice (Picture: WWE)

Karrion Kross came out with a new look on Raw this week and WWE fans aren’t sure what to make of it.

The former NXT Champion, who started appearing on the red brand over the past few weeks before dropping his title to Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver 36 on Sunday, seems to officially be part of the show now and with the full-time move comes a change of style.

Kross – who, it has to be said, is being presented much better than his debut loss to Jeff Hardy – came out for a match with Ricochet wearing a new outfit, including a leather cross over his torso and a gladiator-style mask for his entrance.

He looked strong in the bout as he made quick work of the One And Only in the kind of showcase he needs during this early appearances, but some fans weren’t too kind about the change of style on social media.

One fan tweeted: ‘What seventh level of hell did I die and now reside in where Karrion Kross is now some red mighty morphin power gladiator looking dude? (sic)’

Another added: ‘Karrion Kross looks like either an extra on a really bad Gladiator movie or like he needs to join the bdsm community. This isn’t a good look for a dude who is supposed to a bad ass’.

And another added: ‘Karrion Kross looks like he should be on the set of Magic Mike XXXL’.

In fairness to WWE and Kross, not everyone was quite so scathing when it came to the latest development.

Some fans enjoyed the change, and one suggested it could help flesh out his character once his partner Scarlett Bordeaux gets called up – which we’re still hoping is on the cards.

‘I like Karrion Kross’s new look nothing wrong with old but new still cool,’ they tweeted. ‘Plus when they bring scarlett up to main roster it will only add another dimension to his character.’

The aggression on display is definitely the right move for Kross, although the former champ’s presentation hasn’t quite hit the same notes as his run on the black and gold brand.

There’s still time!
