Jake Paul Involved in Glove Controversy Ahead of the Tyron Woodley Fight

Just days ahead of their highly awaited bout on Sunday, Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley have landed themselves in yet another controversy. The two are set to fight on Sunday at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Sources close to the information revealed that Jake Paul doesn’t want Tyron Woodley wearing the same gloves as him.

Jake Paul is wearing custom-made gloves from the well-known company Grant. Fighters in the boxing community know Grant gloves for their one-of-a-kind customizations. The company is one of the most recognizable brands in the business as it stands.

Floyd Mayweather, Gennady Golovkin, Andre Ward, and Bernard Hopkins are just a few of the names that use their gloves. Woodley’s team reached out to Grant to get their hands on the Grant gloves according to sources. The company told Woodley’s team that they could not customize Woodley’s gloves as requested by Paul.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley

Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul is all set to take on ‘The Chosen One’ Tyron Woodley on Sunday. The fight takes place in Paul’s hometown, Cleveland, Ohio. The fight is eight three-minute rounds, exhibition match rules.

Former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will make his professional boxing debut on Sunday. His opponent, Jake Paul, is 3-0 as a professional boxer. One of these wins came against Woodley’s longtime friend Ben Askren. The beef between Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul started at the Triller event Paul vs Askren.

Woodley went into Paul’s dressing room and confronted Paul and his coaches. A few minutes later, he watched his friend get knocked out by Paul and things understandably snowballed from there. Woodley is looking to avenge Ben Askren’s loss and make Paul stop talking trash him and his camp once and for all.

Paul, on the other hand, considers himself a budding professional fighter and will look to beat Woodley and move on to professional fighters. Who will get their hands raised on Sunday, August 29?
